Yamaha YZF-R25 Specifications, Price and Review

Yamaha R25 has been launched for the year 2021 with new colours and a newly updated engine. The new model is offered exciting new colours that make it still relevant in the market. This is a detailed review of the new R25 and here we tell what are the changes in the new model.

Let's begin with its design, The new R25 does not get any major design changes. It still carries the same sharp and sporty looks as the older model. However, Yamaha has added new metallic cyan colour options to the lineup. This new colour comes with orange coloured wheels and that gives it a different look. The new Yamaha R25 still looks great and gives a tough fight to its competitors Honda CBR500R and Kawasaki Ninja 250. 

 

Yamaha R25 comes with a two-cylinder, 249cc engine. The engine on the new model has been reworked to meet the latest emission norms. The new mill of R25 is slightly less powerful than the older model and there also has been a considerable amount of drop in torque.

The latest Yamaha YZF-R25 produces 35 horsepower at 12,000 RPM, which is slightly lesser than the older model. Even with a slight drop in power, there have been no major changes in its performance. Its maximum torque output is 23 Nm that comes at 10,000 RPM. It comes with 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch that allows slick and smooth gear shifts.

 

The Yamaha R25 gets USD forks and a mono-shock rear suspension. It comes with disc brakes at both ends and it also gets dual-channel ABS. Its weight is 170 kg thanks to a super light diamond frame with the aluminium swingarm. Its chassis and suspension offer great feedback and sporty feel to the rider. Also, the handling of the new R25 has been improved by a lot. 

 

Is the New Yamaha R25 Worth Buying?

There are no major changes in the new model but it is still one of the best bikes out there. Its updated engine losses some power and torque but it still offers really good performance. Yamaha has reworked the chassis and suspension setup, and now it has a more responsive chassis. The new Yamaha R25 handles really well on the race track. 

 

If you are looking for a sports bike for daily use then Yamaha R25 should be on your list. It is still one of the best bikes in its class. The newly added Cyan Blue colour looks funky and more sporty.
